Through CDL preparation, on‑the‑road training, safety orientations, and compliance workshops, the academy is designed to meet industry standards and exceed carrier and shipper expectations. Hands‑on instruction, real‑world scenarios, and audit‑ready documentation help drivers understand not just how to operate equipment, but how to operate safely, professionally, and in full compliance.
The academy focuses on core areas such as vehicle control, pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, Hours‑of‑Service rules, and defensive driving techniques. Trainees learn how to handle real freight scenarios, communicate with dispatch, and manage time and fatigue in line with FMCSA regulations. By combining classroom content with practical driving and safety coaching, BDJ Training Academy develops professionals who take pride in their craft and are ready to join the BDJ fleet or the broader trucking industry with confidence.

BDJ’s Operations & Safety division oversees dispatch systems, fleet performance, HR protocols, and ongoing training to keep every part of the operation running safely and efficiently. The team monitors routes, hours, and equipment status to support drivers on the road while maintaining strong service for shippers and partners. Safety is non‑negotiable: from PPE orientation and safety briefings to formal incident reporting and root‑cause reviews, every process is documented and aligned with federal and state regulations.
This division coordinates compliance with FMCSA rules, DOT inspections, and internal safety policies, ensuring that BDJ’s standards consistently meet or exceed regulatory requirements. Drivers and staff receive regular refresher training on topics like HOS, securement, hazard awareness, and workplace safety so that safe habits stay sharp over time.
